SIOUX CITY—Authorities say a Siouxland man is charged with supplying alcohol to a teenager who later died in a head-on collision on Interstate 29 near Sioux City. The Iowa Department of Public Safety says Robin Armfield, of Hornick, was arrested on Wednesday for a February crash that killed 17-year-old Mary Hughes, of Salix. Authorities say she was driving south in the northbound lane of I-29 and collided with a pickup truck. Authorities say her blood alcohol level was three times the legal limit. Armfield was taken to the Woodbury County jail on $25,000 bond. The sheriff’s office says he was released on Thursday. The jail had no information on whether he had an attorney. There was no attorney listed on the online court system.
