SIOUX GATEWAY AIRPORT HOPES TO ATTRACT NEW CARRIER

SIOUX CITY—THE SIOUX GATEWAY AIRPORT HAS RECEIVED A HALF-A-MILLION DOLLAR GRANT FROM THE IOWA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION.

AIRPORT TRANSIT AND FLEET DIRECTOR CURT MILLER SAYS THE SMALL COMMUNITY AIR SERVICE GRANT WILL FUND A FINANCIAL INCENTIVE PACKAGE TO ATTRACT ADDITIONAL CARRIERS TO SIOUX CITY.

MILLER SAYS THEY’D LIKE TO HAVE A NON-STOP CONNECTION FROM SIOUX CITY TO CHICAGO.

DELTA CURRENTLY FLIES OUT OF SIOUX GATEWAY AIRPORT FOUR TIMES A DAY.

MILLER SAYS ANOTHER ATTRACTION FOR FUTURE CARRIERS WILL BE THE JANUARY COMPLETION OF THE 5-POINT-5-MILLION DOLLAR TERMINAL REMODEL.
