SCHOOL STARTS THURSDAY-OFFICERS STRESS SAFETY

SIOUX CITY—SIOUX CITY POLICE OFFICERS ARE STRESSING SAFETY AS A NEW SCHOOL YEAR BEGINS IN SIOUX CITY THURSDAY.
OFFICER TONY ALBRIGHT SAYS ADDITIONAL SQUADS WILL BE MONITORING TRAFFIC FLOW IN AND AROUND ALL PUBLIC SCHOOLS THURSDAY.
HE SAYS MOTORISTS NEED TO BE CAUTIOUS AND ALERT.
ALBRIGHT SAYS STUDENT DRIVERS WILL AUTOMATICALLY BE PULLED OVER IF THEY ARE USING A CELL PHONE.
ALBRIGHT SAYS PARENTS NEED TO TEACH NEW DRIVERS TO BUCKLE-UP, OBEY THE SPEED LIMIT AND CHOOSE A SAFE VEHICLE FOR THEIR TEEN.
