IDOT APPROVES $4.8 MILLION FOR SOUTHBRIDGE

SIOUX CITY—THE IOWA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION HAS APPROVED SIOUX CITY’S GRANT APPLICATION FOR SOUTHBRIDGE IMPROVEMENTS.

THE REVITALIZING IOWA’S SOUND ECONOMY GRANT TOTALS $4.8-MILION.

FUNDS WILL ASSIST WITH THE CONSTRUCTION OF 16,400 FEET OF ROADWAY INCLUDING HARBOR DRIVE, 225TH STREET AND ANDREW AVENUE IN THE SOUTHBRIDGE BUSINESS PARK.

MAYOR MIKE HOBART IS PLEASED WITH THE AWARD, WHICH WILL ALLOW THE CITY TO MOVE FORWARD WITH JOB CREATION AND ANOTHER MAJOR SIOUX CITY INVESTMENT.

SOUTHBRIDGE PROJECTS ARE CURRENTLY UNDER DESIGN WITH CONSTRUCTION TO BEGIN THIS SUMMER.
